What is a rubber vulcanizing molding machine?
A rubber vulcanizing molding machine is an industrial device specifically used for processing rubber materials. Through the processes of thermal vulcanization (curing) and pressure molding, it manufactures various rubber products such as oil seals, bearing seals, automotive parts, etc. The machine improves the physical and chemical properties of rubber, making it abrasion-resistant, aging-resistant, chemically resistant, and elastic.
Working Principle
The rubber vulcanizing molding machine mainly uses heating and pressing to promote a chemical reaction (the vulcanization process) between the rubber and the curing agents, turning uncured rubber into a stable structure and enhancing the material’s performance. At the same time, pressure is applied through a forming mold to process the rubber into the desired product shape.
Process Steps
- Raw material preparation: Unvulcanized rubber and curing agents (such as sulfur, zinc oxide, etc.) are thoroughly mixed with other additives to form a compound.
- Mold filling: The compound is placed into the mold and the machine applies pressure to fill the mold cavity.
- Vulcanization and heating: The compound is heated to a specific temperature, triggering the vulcanization reaction, curing the rubber, and improving its chemical properties.
- Cooling and demolding: After vulcanization, the product is cooled and released from the mold.
